In Atlanta, not far from my stomping grounds lies the OK Café. The first spicy burger I ever had was there, and I’ll never forget it. A big juicy burger with a ton of sliced fresh jalapeños tucked under a melted slice of pepper jack. This is my take on their classic, jumped up a notch, because why not?

Ingredients
- 1.4 lbs - Ground Beef Chuck 80/20
-
2 tbsp Smoked Mango Habanero sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- ¼ cup finely chopped Spicy Peppers
- 3 sliced fresh small Jalapenos
- Pepper Jack, or Munster Cheese slices
- Lettuce
- Sliced Tomato
- Sliced Onion
- Buns
- Ketchup
- Mayonnaise (Dukes if you please)
Directions
Combine the beef, peppers, sauces, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix. I use gloves and my hands for this. Make three equal size balls out of the beef and mash them into burger shape. Grill the burgers over super duper high heat. when it comes time to flip (2.5 minutes for medium), flip them over and add the jalapeños on top. A minute later add the cheese over the japs and close the lid to your grill so that the heat melts the cheese over the jalapeños. Pull the burgers off after the cheese is melted and get ready to have your face melted. Toast the buns either on the grill while you are grilling or your preferred toasting device and then build your amazing burger tower. There are many theories out there as to how to best build a burger, I like building from the bottom up to the top:
Top Bun
Lettuce
Ketchup
Tomato
Cheese
Jalapeños
Burger
Onion
Mayo
Bottom Bun- Serve with some spicy pan fries for the ultimate experience!
